Gimp Portable Install
And cannot install the user manual I have tried several different locations within the portable folder and doesn't work I appreciate very much if any of you could tell me how please. Based on that message I uninstalled GIMP Portable 2.10.12 test 2 completely, and re-installed to my USB drive (now without a prior GIMP Portable installation). I confirmed that files were installed to 'appgimp.

Help file for Gimp 2.10?
Is there a help file for Gimp 2.10? I notice that on the download page for 2.10 at gimp.org (https://www.gimp.org/downloads/), the help files available there are still those for Gimp 2.8.

I am very aware that GIMP is not at all comercial software and that it's done and maintained mainly by volounteers, so sorry for asking that directly, but why, four months later, that 'Not yet' is currently still true (no offline help file for Gimp 2.10), whereas 2.10 online complete help files are indeed available (in english as well as in 16 other languages) at https://www.gimp.org/docs/ ?
Although I don't know when those files were first made publicly available, IMHO compiling those already existing HTML files into a unique setup file to get a local 2.10 offline help, shouldn't take that long and shouldn't require much effort; AMOF that was already done with 2.8 locally installed help.
Am I wrong or am I missing anything ?
Thanks,
David

1. It's not complete. For instance, there is no documentation on all thenew blending modes yet. Just a few days ago I had to point someone tocommit logs adding Merge and Split blending modes to the code, where someinformation on their use was provided. The reason for this is becauseroughly 90% of all work on documentation is done by a single person forwhom English isn't even the native language.
2. Mentioning 16 other languages is kinda unfair -- not all translationsare being currently maintained. I've only seen translations into 4languages updated over the last month.
This is a community effort. The community gets exactly as much as itcontributes. We are all in the same boat: you, me, everyone. We can carryon pointing fingers or get cracking instead :)

Description
The GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) is a freely distributed program for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring. It has many capabilities. It can be used as a simple paint program, an expert quality photo retouching program, an online batch processing system, a mass production image render-er, an image format converter, etc. Both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of GIMP are included in a de-duplicated fashion for maximum performance in a smaller install size.
App Notes
Installation Note: GIMP has issues when running from a location with non-ANSI characters in the path. GIMP debug files have been removed to save install space. They can be copied from a local install for debugging purposes.
Upgrade Note: GIMP Portable 2.10.0 Rev 2 and later will archive your existing plugins from version 2.10.0 and earlier within the GIMPPortableDataplug-ins-pre-2.10 directory to eliminate issues with incompatible plugins due to a new major version of GIMP. You can manually copy your plugins back to test compatibility.
Windows 7 32-bit Note: GIMP's 32-bit build is broken on Windows 7 and has been for about 2 years. The previous patches used by PortableApps.com to get it working no longer work. The last working version of GIMP Portable on Windows 7 32-bit is GIMP Portable 2.10.6 Rev 2.
